Summer Scottish Cyclocross is back (virtually anyway).

With the lack of any real bicycle racing happening right now the SCX Association has decided to try and replicate some cyclocross races for you every Tuesday night on the RGT Cycling platform.

RGT Cycling is an innovative virtual cycling platform (similar to Zwift but without the power-ups) and its currently making all of its Premium features available for free to all indoor cyclists in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our SCX events consist of several short (~20mins) races on different courses on the same evening – you can do just one or, if you’re keen, all of them. At the moment, we are using the existing RGT courses and there are no restrictions getting on before hand to practice! All you need to do is visit RGT Cycling to download the Apps and get set up. You’ll also need to sign-up for races – you can find the sign-up links on the calendar or check out the Scottish Cyclocross Facebook page.

RGT Cycling is a virtual reality cycling simulator that is available for PC, Mac and Apple TV. It is used in conjunction with iOS and Android Apps and supported training hardware. Users from around the world are able to Go Beyond and connect, ride, race and train together in a virtual reality that recreates the captivating culture of real-world cycling. RGT Cycling has a unique set of features such as Magic Roads which enable users to ride any road, anytime, anywhere. Find out more at www.rgtcycling.com

As soon as we can we will have a further update on our real Scottish Cyclocross Series dates. The SCX Association is working with Scottish Cycling towards having our series this Winter as planned, however due to the current pandemic this may not be possible unless the current Govt guidelines on social distancing are altered. In the meantime stay safe, keep training and hope to see you on the virtual start line.
